Welcome to Magic Carpet Music. We are an original music library, featuring compositions by John Andrew Quinn, as well as some co-written compositions and also music by his son Julian Quinn.

The Magic Carpet Music library covers a wide range of genres, including but not limited to: jazz, Latin, pop, rock, dance and modern classical. The collection is largely instrumental, with some vocal selections as well.

Why the name Magic Carpet Music?

The beautiful, intricate designs of Persian and Oriental carpets correlate to the interweaving of various musical styles in most of the compositions. The tunes in the music library synthesize elements of different musical cultures to create sound tapestries.

Special mention and thanks go to Doug Scott, an L.A. area producer and guitarist, who’s worked with John on a number of tunes in our catalog; and also to Julian Quinn, John’s multi-talented son, whose fresh and non-academic approach to writing music served as a significant inspiration and shot in the arm to John’s composing and songwriting.
